Black Market Skates Brand Redesign
Black Market Skates is a skateboard shop in Seattle. I decided to try and rebrand them to embrace their devious sounding name. I also wanted to get a little weird with it, and really play up an aspect irreverence.

For the Black Market Skates paper branding, they will use the monotype typeface "Prestige Elite Std", which is clear and legible, while also quirky and unusual.

The letterhead is based off of a 7 column grid, with the body of the letter being set flush left to the third column. The company name, the logo, and employee contact information are set in the first two columns.
​
One of the most notable graphical elements introduced in print is the "redacted marks" which add to the brand's subversive and pseudo-criminal tone.
